Care provided before and after the camp day
Our Extended Day program is child care provided before and after the regular camp day. The program is designed to be a safe and convenient option for parents with challenging schedules. Here, campers get the chance to play at their own pace with campers of all ages. They are free to float between a variety of centers led by our staff such as Field Games, Court Games, Sprinklers, Board Games, Crafts, Building Activities (Legos, K’Nex) and Imagination Station (Performing, Dolls).
- Morning: 7:30am-8:30am
- Afternoon: 3:45pm-6:00pm
- $12/hr for one child
- $6 for additional children in a family
If you will need to use Extended Day on a consistent basis, application and payment is due on May 1. You will be billed by the half hour based on your application schedule.
You may also use Extended Day as a drop-in service on days that you need it during the summer. We ask that you let us know as far in advance as possible for staffing purposes.
We utilize Sewataro counselors for our Extended Day staff.
Matt is back again for his 5th summer at Sewataro, co-leading our Counselor-in-Training program, and his 2nd summer as the head of our Extended Day program! He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from UMass Boston. Acting and writing are Matt’s passions. Last fall he played three roles in UMB’s production of “Museum,” and this summer two of his own short plays are being staged for readings in Boston.
Matt is very passionate about everything he does and works very hard to make the Extended Day program a safe, fun and enriching experience for all who attend!
Extended Day campers are dropped off/picked up by a parent or parent-designate. If you enroll only for the morning or afternoon Extended Day program, one-way bus transportation is available for the opposite morning/afternoon when not enrolled.
You may pack breakfast/snack in your child’s lunch bag to eat during the morning/afternoon.
Please Note: Extended Day will not be available in the afternoon on Friday, August 18—the final day of camp.
