Dear Friends,

This week’s heat wave was no match for the fun and excitement enjoyed by our spirited campers and enthusiastic counselors! We welcomed our last group of two week campers, hosted our second Eagle section Overnight, did LOTS of water play throughout the week, and capped it off with Friday’s “Sewatarosaurus” special event. Luckily, the Sewataro (weather) bubble also held strong with Wednesday’s storm arriving well after the campers were safely home for the day.

As this year’s camp season begins to wind down, we find ourselves reflecting on all that we’ve endeavored to accomplish this summer. Our goal each and every day is for campers to return home happy and safe, with new experiences, life skills, and stories to share! We were delighted to receive confirmation of these ideals in a recent survey:

“It’s the most incredible camp experience I have come across. My eyes well up with tears of pride when I visit the camp because we are fortunate enough to give the gift of Sewataro to our daughter. She loves her time there and it seems the staff love her right back. She has an amazing life, in part, because of the summers spent at your camp.”

As you know, enrollment for next summer opened this past Tuesday and we have already received a tremendous number of applications. If you plan to return, make sure you apply soon! Many groups and sessions will be filled much earlier than last year.

In the meantime, hold onto your sunscreen, and get ready for an amazing week eight!

Warmly,

The Taylors, Monica, and Emmy
