Mikayla Boisvert

Mikayla will be a Community Support Specialist for the summer of 2024! She is a longtime camper and staff member having spent 16 summers at Sewataro (5 on staff)! The environment and sense of community are what keep her coming back.

“I love working at camp because I get to see the campers growing and having fun at the same time. I also love being outdoors, so I really enjoy spending time with campers outside! I keep returning to Sewataro because I love spending time with kids, working on the camp property, and working with counselors I grew up with.”

Mikayla had the opportunity to study abroad last May in Ghana. She worked at a special education school in the capital of Accra. She spent her days working with special education professor, Dr. Jerry Petroff, to help the school staff improve education for students with disabilities. She is very passionate about helping children get the proper education they need!

Mikayla’s favorite memory as a camper was attending the overdays. She loved singing camp songs and eating pizza and ice cream! Outside of camp Mikayla plays tennis and is on her club team at school. She loves being outdoors, reading, and doing jigsaw puzzles with her friends.
