Shelby Abrams (Bear Section)

We are thrilled that Shelby has returned as our Bear Section Supervisor! “I can’t wait to be returning to camp for my tenth summer! I feel lucky to have worked in all three sections of camp, [but especially love working] with campers who are closer in age to the ones I teach!” As for her favorite part of camp, Shelby says “I love working in an environment where kids get to take a break from academics and form lasting friendships…it’s incredible to walk around Camp in the morning and see so much excitement for the day- from campers and from counselors!”

Shelby grew up in Southborough, and is a 3rd Grade Special Education teacher at Woodland Elementary School in Milford. She graduated from Ithaca College, with a major in English, and holds a Master’s degree from American International College in Moderate Disabilities (Pre-K -8). Shelby is an active volunteer with “Girls on the Run,” a non-profit designed to help girls build confidence by training to run 5k races. And in her spare time, Shelby loves to read, take spin classes, and listen to pop culture podcasts.
