Sara is excited to be returning to her sweet spot this year, as a Fox Head Counselor. “I was thankful to be an activity counselor last year and had so much fun teaching all of the different tribes, but there was always something missing. I am beyond excited to be back as a tribe head this year, and can’t wait to travel around camp together and form a special bond with my tribe.” Sara has “so many!” favorite things about Sewataro, it’s hard to narrow them down. “I honestly look forward to the opening day all year long. If I had to choose one thing, it would be watching the kiddos skip down the hill with huge smiles on their faces first thing in the morning.”
Sara is a graduate of Framingham State (Elementary Education), and this past year has been working on her Masters Degree through Lesley University in collaboration with Belmont Day School in Belmont, MA (where she gets to hang out with some Sewie campers!). By June 2017, she will have earned her degree in Early Childhood education for children with or without disabilities.
In addition to her love of working with children, Sara enjoys arts and crafts, dancing, hiking and trips to the beach. She is especially proud of the fact that has “…successfully taught many children how to read!”
