After seven years as a camper, and one year on staff, Rachel has so many memories that… well, we’ll let her tell you!
“I started as a MicMac and spent all my summers at camp until I was a Chinook. Some of my favorite memories were the ones I made with my friends in the group.” Rachel said. “I remember when I was an Arapaho, we planned “70’s day” where the group came to camp dressed up in 70’s outfits. It was a great bonding experience, and we all had so much fun with it. We even won the spirit award later that week!” Rachel’s goal is "…to give the campers a fun and memorable summer, like my counselors gave me!”
Rachel also attended Camp Micah in Maine for five summers, where she loved getting to act as a mentor to younger campers. She brings that same love of helping campers to Sewataro, and we have no doubt she will be an awesome Bear Leader.
When asked what her favorite parts of Sewataro are, Rachel responded, “One of my favorite parts of camp is the Friday Special Events, and especially the Sewataro Olympics…I look forward to participating in the Friday special events as a counselor, and making them as fun as possible for the campers!”
Rachel is a rising senior at Wayland High School, who loves singing, dancing, and musical theater. Fun fact: she is a friendship bracelet aficionado, as well as a champion smoothie maker!
