Nate E. (Crafts)

After seven years as a camper, and two as a CIT, Nat is back for his second year as one of our Crafts Assistants! According to Nate, he has so many great memories from over the years that even picking just a couple was hard. “Some of my best Sewataro memories are either catching my first fish or going down the zipline for the first time.”

Nate said this summer he is excited to “see the campers I’ve made connections with over my past summers, as well as meeting new campers. I really enjoy working with kids, and I love making connections with campers.”

Having grown up at camp made coming back as a counselor a no brainer. When asked what he hoped to gain as a counselor, the thoughtful and mature Nate had a great reply. “I’m hoping to learn some skills that can help me be an effective leader, such as giving directions in an engaging and effective way. I’m excited to learn some leadership skills that I can use later in life.”

Outside of camp, Nate is a rising senior at Wayland High School. During the school year, Nate works part-time at an after-school program at an elementary school in Wayland. His hobbies include reading, writing, computer programming, and playing Frisbee, soccer, or football. He can even solve a Rubik’s Cube in under a minute (his record is under 25 seconds!)
