For MJ Malloy, it doesn’t get much better than summers at Sewataro. “I grew up loving this camp, and now I’m excited to lead my own group of campers, and to help them have a memorable, happy summer,” he says.
MJ is a rising senior at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional H.S., and comes from a long line of Sewataro counselors – his parents met while working on the Waterfront many years ago, and his cousins, Sam and Jenna Thyne, are still at camp today. It’s a family tradition MJ is proud to carry on. In his free time, MJ can be found swimming, paddle boarding, hiking and spending time with family and friends. He claims to be an “ok’” ukelele/guitar player, and says he’s yet to meet someone he couldn’t make laugh. This summer marks MJ’s 9th year at Sewataro (his 2nd on staff), and when asked to name his favorite part of camp, MJ doesn’t hesitate: “That would have to be all the great friends and memories I’ve made [at Sewataro] throughout the years.”
