Originally from Acton and a graduate of Acton-Boxborouth Regional H.S., Michael recently received his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from UMass Amherst. An aspiring music teacher, Michael spent the past semester student teaching. He is looking forward to returning to camp for his second year on staff: “Making music at the end of the day was always special. Seeing everyone together and enjoying the last few moments of camp brings a smile to my face.” :-) Before Sewataro, Michael spent two summers on staff at Firefly Theatre Works in Acton as a music director and vocal coach. Music is truly Michael’s passion. “I love sharing music with other people, and working with campers and counselors to make music together.” Michael has been known to drum on just about anything he can find; “The world is one big percussion instrument” according to him, and is also learning how to play the ukulele! When not making music, Michael can be found playing soccer, frisbee or ballroom dancing.
