Maddie is back for her eighth Sewataro summer, and looking forward to returning to her role of Fox Tribe Leader. “I love being with the same group of kids all day and getting to know every one of them over the course of a session. It’s also a different age group than I work with during the school year which is fun!”
Maddie holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Elementary Education and Theology) from Boston College, and a Master’s Degree (Special Education) from Providence College. She is a currently a second grade teacher in the Brookline Public School system, and originally hails from Holliston, MA. In her free time, Maddie enjoys running, yoga, cooking, reading, arts and crafts, and playing cribbage. Her favorite things about Sewataro are playing with the kids outside the classroom and getting to work with such a great staff. “I love being outside all day! There’s nothing prettier than Sewataro in the summertime.” :)
One more exciting update about Maddie – she’s getting married this summer, to Josh Tranfaglia, another Sewataro counselor!
