Julia returns for her 9th year on staff at Sewataro, and she’s excited to be an Extra this year. After a few years off, Julia decided she just couldn’t stay away from Sewataro. A camper for eight years, and a counselor for another eight, Sewataro has been an essential part of Julia’s life. “Camp has been a part of my life since I was 5 and I am so excited to return and see all the familiar faces!”
When asked what she was most excited for this summer, Julia immediately knew her answer:
“Being part of creating a memorable and special summer for my campers – also the cheers, Green Gizmo, Special Event Fridays, Fishing, earning pins and spirit awards!”
After graduating from Boston College in 2016, Julia went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Currently Julia is a Speech-Language Pathologist at a school in Shrewsbury, MA.
Aside from teaching, Julia loves baking and cooking (“creating recipes based on whatever I have in the kitchen”), traveling, watching sports, and spending time with her family’s goldendoodle Ellie. Speaking of traveling, Julia was able to visit Brazil just before COVID-19, and says that Carnaval was truly an amazing experience.
