Josh Tranfaglia (Adventure Challenge Head)

Josh is excited to be back for his fourth summer at Sewataro, this time as an Adventure Challenge Head. “I am excited to work with different tribes each day and guide them through various adventure challenges. I love working with kids, especially when I get to mentor them through a difficult problem/challenge.”

Josh teaches 7th and 9th grade Social Studies at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, where he also coaches golf, basketball, and baseball. He earned both his undergraduate degree (B.S. Business Management) and master’s degree (Education) from Providence College, and loves working with children “…both within the classroom and outside at camp.”

“My favorite part of camp are the counselors and campers. This camp is full of great people and I am excited to get back to see old friends and meet new ones.” In fact, this summer Josh is also getting married to another Sewataro counselor, Maddie Racine! And no, they didn’t meet at camp. ;-)

Josh’s hobbies (and talents) include trivia (“I watch ‘Jeopardy’ every night!”), reading, working out and catching food in his mouth from mid-air. “I’m particularly good with grapes and M&Ms…!”
