Jason M. (Paintball/Golf)

Jason returns to Sewataro this summer, for his second year as our Paintball/Golf counselor. A Sports counselor from 2005-2010, Jason has so many notable memories that, well, we’ll let him tell you.

“I created and built the wacky wheel of Wednesday, which was initially created in 2005 when I was an extra to use during rainy day activities in the long house, I received the cannon but was defended by attorneys Josh Podolsky and Hunter Lang as the pass was not illegal and I should have been acquitted, I also started the after-camp program, the men’s basketball team and Sewataro’s first-ever recycling collection, which I drove home in the trunk of my car twice a week … but perhaps my greatest contributions were bringing both Jay (Eidson) and Renee (Dupre) to Sewataro!”

A graduate of Ithaca College, with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lesley University, Jason’s true calling is coaching soccer/futsal. He currently holds many coaching related positions including: Director of Futsal at the Massachusetts Futsal Association; Boys Soccer Coach, Boston Latin School; Girls Soccer Coach, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. But what brought Jason back to Sewataro after so many years was not his love of soccer/futsal, but his excitement to share the magic of Sewataro with his son, Grey. “There’s no place like Sewataro!”

In addition to his love of soccer and futsal, and his greatest joy in life, Grey, Jason has also jumped off a 75 foot waterfall in Costa Rica, and speaks four languages (he’s learning a fifth!)
