Camp Sewataro is steeped in Traditions, and one of them is Fishing with Dan-Dan the Fisherman. Dan-Dan (a.k.a. Dan Nicholson) returns for his record breaking 45th summer of skillfully teaching generation after generation of Sewataro campers how to fish. “I’m looking forward to another great summer!” he says. Dan is a retired high school teacher, who enjoys spending the “off season” traveling with his wife, and being “Papa” to his four beautiful grandchildren – three of whom will be at camp this summer. “Generations of Nicholson children continue to be enriched by the Sewataro experience,” he says. Dan holds a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard University, and an M.A. in Reading from UMass Boston.
