Alex is a rising senior at Wayland High School, and although this will be his first summer on staff, Alex is no stranger to Sewataro. “I was at Camp for seven years, as a member of the Iroquois, Cheyenne, Blackfeet and Choctaw tribes, among others,” he says, adding that his favorite Sewataro memories include the canoe trip on the Charles River, and making whirlpools in the pools on his first Overnight. After Sewataro, Alex spent four summers at an overnight camp in Maine (Kamp Kohut), and now, he’s psyched to be back at Sewie. “I’m really excited to be spending yet another summer at Camp! I’m looking forward to sharing my love of the outdoors with the campers, and also to experiencing Camp as a counselor.” In his spare time, Alex can be found playing piano, skiing (“I’m a big skier, both snow and waterskiing”), rowing (he’s the coxswain on the Wayland H.S. team), and biking (“If I’m motivated, I can get 50-60 miles in per day!”).
We’re looking forward to having Alex’s terrific and upbeat energy on staff this summer!
