Day 9 22.jpg?ixlib=rails 2.1

Dear Friends,

Week two of camp welcomed beautiful weather, lots of fun and of course, spirit! Tribes could be heard all around camp yelling out classic Sewataro cheers and songs. The sunshine made for some hot days allowing campers to enjoy swimming, water games and the 2019 premiere of the “Camper Car Wash!”

On Tuesday, the Eagle Section held their first Overnight of the summer. Once the buses and parent drivers shipped out, the Eagle campers enjoyed an evening filled with swimming, s’mores and the notorious “Counselor Hunt.” After a night of fun, it was off to bed and on to another day at camp!

In honor of the Fourth of July Holiday, we held a camp-wide Red, White and Blue Spirit Day on Wednesday. It was great seeing all the campers in their patriotic gear! We hope you all had a wonderful Fourth celebrating the Fourth of July with your friends and family.

We were back here again on Friday. The heat made it perfect for one of our favorite Friday Special Events, the “Sewataro Classic Water Carnival!”

Fox, Bear and Eagle sections traveled through water themed stations. Fox section campers enjoyed games such as “Fill-A-Bucket,” “Jewel Hunt,” “Pool Party,” and “Messy Backyard.” Bear and Eagle sections rotated through “Sink Your Counselor,” “Over Under,” “Dr. Dodgeball” and “Water Polo.” All the excitement of the afternoon lead to the traditional “Slip ‘N Slide Water Finale!” Counselors formed teams representing the Fox, Bear and Eagle sections. After a nail biting race, the Eagle section slide into victory!

It’s hard to believe two weeks of camp have already passed. For those of you leaving us today, we hope you enjoyed your time at Sewataro and have a great rest of the summer. For those of you returning next week, get ready for more days filled with fun, sun and laughter!

Warmly,

The Taylors, Nathan, and Emmy
