Junior Camp blog 1

The Fox Section just got even more awesome with the addition of a newly-minted program designed exclusively for 4 year-olds: Junior Camp! Just as Senior Camp was created a few years back to meet the needs of our oldest campers, so too will Junior Camp have its own exciting, customized and age-appropriate schedule to meet the needs of our youngest Fox section campers. Unlike Sprouts, Junior camp will be a full-day program that is fully integrated into “regular camp,” including two swim periods (instruction and free swim). Junior Camp will be a co-ed group that will function as one tribe. But wait…there’s more!

We are thrilled to announce that the one and only Heather Cedrone has signed on as Junior Camp Leader! A Sewataro staff veteran for fifteen summers and counting, Heather is passionate about working with four year-olds. “It’s a love that comes from inside,” she says. “I enjoy encouraging each camper to shine, while helping them to build meaningful friendships. Camp Sewataro is the most magical environment for hands-on learning and good old-fashioned fun!” During the off-camp season, Heather is a Lead Preschool Teacher at The Apple Orchard School in Brookline. She holds a B.A. and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University, and is the mother of two young children.
